Hi Nonners! Steph has told us about your blog and I can't wait to get to know you! :) I'm looking for more cool blogger friends here, lol! Nice to meet you! (Cute pictures btw!)
I wanted to answer your question as referred via Steph's blog:
What is the biggest flaw you find in your current friends/friendships? What do you think yours is? What do you think is the most important step towards maintaining your lifelong friendships?
1. I think the biggest flaw in my current friends/friendships is that right now a lot of us are working or living our own lives that we sometimes don't have time to see each other much. Many of my friends have just gotten married and/or already have children of their own to care for; they're so busy that I'm not able to see them much anymore :(
2. My biggest flaw is maintaining communication with my friends; usually my friends are the ones who initiate conversation or communication with me and I haven't done that... Lack of motivation or busy schedule? Either or, I think... =/
3. Overall, maintaining communication is the most important step to lifelong friendships; I have a couple of friends that I've kept in touch with since 3rd and 6th grade via e-mail and we're very close :) I'm working on that with my friends at home and even from far away - baby steps!
Per DSK's request I've come here to read your blog and answer a question (cute pics of you, your dog and your sweetheart btw - the last one is my favorite). Okay, here goes: What is the biggest flaw you find in your current friends/friendships?
We all work all the time and live scattered to the winds. It bums me out that we don't all live close to one another and can hang out more often.
What do you think yours is?
My biggest flaw? Hmm, I'll keep this light and say it is angsting over my weight and my looks when I have a Husband who loves me to bits and tells me I'm beautiful and that he loves me everyday.
What do you think is the most important step towards maintaining your lifelong friendships?
Effort and give-a-damn.
Like the old saying goes, "out of sight, out of mind". Don't let that happen to the ones you care about the most.
The biggest flaw in my current friendships is the lack of time to talk and communicate with each other! We all get so wrapped up in our busy lives, which don't really cross over to our friendships and we stop hanging out or going out together.
I'm guilty of this as well... I am doing so much of my own things, like working, working out, joining work things, that I don't make time to have quality friendship time!
I think the most important step is time management! Make dates with your friends! Hold them accountable!
As per DSKJewelry's request, I'm commenting here to answer your questions.
What is the biggest flaw you find in your current friends and/or friendships? -I would have to say my current biggest flaw is not having my good friends close by. Most of them have moved away to bigger and better things (can't say I blame them!).
What do you think yours is? -My biggest flaw is never being sure of myself (I'm working on that one!).
What do you think is the most important step towards maintaining your lifelong friendships? -The most important step to me is maintaining communication with your friends. Even a quick phone call once a week keeps them fresh in your mind and doesn't allow the friendship to slip away unnoticed.
